How to use Advoke CV
Follow these steps to create and save your resume.
1. How do I create a resume?
Open the template gallery, preview a design, and select “Use This Template” to open the editor.
2. How do I change my resume details?
Enter your information in the editor fields. The preview should update as you type. Add extra experience, education and skills with the corresponding add buttons.
3. How do I save my resume as a PDF?
Click “Save as PDF” in the editor. In the browser print dialog, choose “Save as PDF” if that option is available. Check page breaks and formatting before using the file.
4. Where is my draft saved?
The editor uses local storage in your current browser. Drafts are not automatically synchronized between browsers or devices. Export JSON periodically as a backup.
5. How can I move my resume to another device?
Use the editor's “Export JSON” button, transfer that file safely, then choose “Import JSON” on the other device.
6. What if the preview is blank?
Confirm that the JavaScript files loaded successfully and that the template registry and renderer are available. Refresh the page and check the browser console if the problem continues.
7. Is an internet connection required?
The hosted site requires a connection to load its files. Once loaded, some editor actions run locally, but full offline availability has not been guaranteed or tested.
8. Does Advoke CV guarantee ATS compatibility?
No. Resume formatting and applicant-tracking systems vary. Use a straightforward layout when applying through an ATS, and verify the exported document's text and reading order.
